A Better Renting Future—Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement

The Department of Housing and Public Works is seeking feedback on a Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement about proposed renting reforms to improve renting in Queensland.

The Consultation RIS outlines policy options to address renting issues identified through the statewide Open Doors to Renting Reform community consultation that took place in 2018.

We received over 135,000 consultation responses and had conversations with tenants, property owners and property managers about their experience of living in, owning or managing a rental property and how it could be improved.

Your feedback on the Consultation RIS will shape future policy decisions made by the Government to ensure we get tenancy law reforms right.

We want to know what options you agree with and how you will be affected by the proposed reforms.

Find out more and provide feedback.
