Energy from Waste policy discussion paper

The Queensland Government is seeking your feedback on the development of an Energy from Waste (EfW) policy to best suit our state.

The Energy from Waste Policy discussion paper has been developed to identify a proposed role for EfW in Queensland, and how it could support the implementation of the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Strategy.

The discussion paper also outlines a set of proposed principles to help guide EfW developments in a way that ensures human health and the environment are protected, and maintains the higher order options such as reuse and recycling identified under the heirarchy.

The Energy from Waste Policy Discussion Paper is open for public submission.
