Queensland industrial cannabis regulatory impact statement consultation

Have your say about possible changes to Queensland industrial cannabis legislation.

The proposed changes to the Drugs Misuse Act 1986, as outlined in the attached Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) relate to three elements: fees; enabling other types of analysis; and inter-agency information sharing.

The proposed changes will affect industry members the most, however all members of the community are welcome to comment.

Feedback from industry and the community will help to ensure the legislation achieves the right balance between enabling the industry to grow and maintaining appropriate oversight by government. The Queensland Government’s preferred options may change as a result of this consultation.
