Have your say on the Queensland Invasive Plants & Animals Strategy 2025–2030

The Queensland Government has committed to a review of the Queensland Invasive Plants and Animals Strategy 2019–2024.

The impacts of invasive species are felt across industry, such as agriculture, horticulture, land management and residential areas.

Part of the renewed Queensland Invasive Plants and Animals Strategy 2025–2030 will be to update current legislation, including restriction requirements. This is also a great opportunity for stakeholders to have their say on roles and responsibilities around the management of invasive species in Queensland.

Whether you specialise in invasive species management, reside in Queensland, or have a stake in our state's biosecurity landscape, we urge you to share your insights. Your feedback will directly influence the strategy's direction and contribute to preserving Queensland's biodiversity.

To participate, we encourage you to download and read the draft strategy on our engagement hub. You can then complete the survey and upload your submission online.

Submissions are open until 31 May 2024.
